Here is a Toronto park today. No social distancing, few if any masks. In the next 4 weeks I guess we’ll see if this covid thing is a big hoax!

Maybe natures way of removing the tards.
We could say the same thing in a very bad flu season.
Everywhere has been extremely busy since Thursday. The nice weather is here.
Did we even ever shut down is the question ?
Some yeah I personally have seen things remain the same since the beginning. Then with the lack of testing in Ontario it's just been a complete shlt show.

Back before Christmas Karen and the other staff at the Hospital were getting sick with a " Nasty Flu " that would knock them down for about two weeks.
Now the Covid-19 comes along, and a few of the staff get sick( testing Positive for Covid-19) and have to stay home.
Thing is none of the staff that were sick "before" Christmas have been infected with Covid-19, only students that starting working in the Hospital after January.
Why is that? What could the "Nasty Flu " they all got in October and November have to do with none of them getting Covid-19?
How many of the staff have been/are infected with no symptoms? Why does the Ontario Health system basicly avoid testing ?
On average there are 12,200 hospitalization per year in Canada and 3,500 deaths. The number of people hospitalized is low due to the availability of flu shots.
Covid-19 on the other hand, has already killed 6,466 Canadians in less than 3 months. As there is no vaccination available, the number of deaths caused by Covid-19 will continue to increase until a vaccination can be developed.
Think about this, in 3 months almost twice the number of Canadians have died from Covid-19 than die from the flu in a year. The death rate for the flu is 1% but the number of cases is low due to immunization. Covid-19 has a death rate of 3.5% and there will be more cases than the flu until a vaccine is given to Canadians.
There’s no happy medium. By Labour Day we’ll either all be wondering what the fuss was about or they’ll be stacking corpses outside every old folks home in the province from the second wave
Those 3500 deaths will still happen, along with heart attacks, and every other fatal sickness or disease. Covid 19 now adds an additional 6 or 7 or even 8000 deaths to that tally.
J the Spanish flu( it was even a flu) killed 55,000 Canadians, so far we have been doing good relative to that. I am also wondering how many of those roughly 6500 deaths are really because of other causes.
If a senior dies of flu, but is never tested did the doctor attribute it to Covid-19? The symptoms are very similar, and Covid-19 is the hot trending thing. Or a person has heart failure, well having flu/Covid-19 symptoms. We may never know in some of the cases.
With the large gatherings of young health people over the long weekend, there will only one of two possibilities.
1) Covid-19 wipes out Thousands if not more.
2) We finally have strong evidence that the people at high risk from Covid-19 are exactly the same people at high risk from the flu.
The death rate may be relatively low in the general population, and going forward a Covid-19 season may have a decreasing numbers of deaths each year simply because as people become seniors their past exposure is going to give us an immune population.
Can only see the top photo but are the photos a hoax?

I think I'll go back o school to be a mortician. It's a license to print money.
Two weeks from now should tell the tale !! It will be interesting !!
All these restrictions - for - a virus that has a 98.8% recovery rate
.000347% death rate
.0381 hospitalization rate
The annual flu Vaccine Stats Can reports - 30% effective strain rate correctness
Why are we developing a vaccine for a sickness 98.8% recover from.
Here is the deal, if you are immno compromised - stay home - if you dont feel safe out in public - stay home - if you are at risk - stay home.
Stop killing our economy for a virus that kills less than influenza - car accident - heart attacks - cancer - obesity - stop accepting state sponsored lock downs.
I have been out everyday, working, my wife is nurse, son is a cashier we all deal with the public everyday.
Wash your hands - dont touch your face - stay 6ft apart - Common Dog Knowledge.
Tell that to the PSW who died at my wife's work, he was not immune compromised yet he is still dead, and in less than a couple weeks too.
4 residents dead, ok, they were not young, but they were not going anywhere either, they stayed home and died. 1 staff member dead, not an old person. 20 residents positive and 18 cases in staff members with none able to go back to work yet and it has been more than 2 weeks since diagnosis.
I guess it is no big deal, until you catch it and die, or your parent catches it and dies or your kid with asthma catches it and dies, etc, etc, etc.
Staying at home does nothing if others do not stay home. 1 person goes to work with it and asymptomatic and you can kill a large group of people, not make a couple people sick for a week, KILL multiple people.
Last week we saw the first increase in cases in 2 weeks - The rolling five-day average had dipped to 326 on Monday but since then has risen to 360, 370, 375, 395 and now 416.
Thinking this may have something to do with relaxing restrictions or mothers day had someone to do with this?
Haha that idiot mayor of Toronto on apology tour again. Goes to the park to see why people are not social distancing... stands right beside them all with his mask on his neck.
God I can't stand him, What a moron. Needs a backhand for that apology too lol what a joke

I would assume it would be from a few issues.
Lack if testing. They literally lacked and last week kept testing less everyday.
Did we really ever shut down to begin with?
Busses are still full and operating 100s of thousands of people lining up at lcbo's
All gas stations, grocerie stores all convenience stores open . The list can go on for ever I know many people who never stopped working . All fast food chains open pot stores open bong shops open .
Traffic only slowed chip trucks opened up after the pandemic. Did we even ever shut down has our government ever even been serious about it? Nope go figure
They cant figure out Jack.. how do they expect to slow and contain it when when we are free to do what we want with a few small restrictions?
With many people claiming they may have had it back in December and January what is our government doing about that they dont care . It's all about today not what happened months ago. What is our herd immunity in Canada? They dont know.
Can go on for days of why it's still a problem. My buddy is a manager at home depot and they would just have random people walking around because the store was open.

I wouldn't rule it out Trimmer. It's happened in 50 or so countries already.

When will it be mandatory to have cellphone tracer app
Sounds like they are watching Essex county pings right now
Apparently the university of TO lab claims to have a cure.
I'd have to send them my monthly bill because I certainly wouldn't pay to be tracked by the government. Too bad we already pay to be tracked by corporations every day.
Not that it would make a difference in my life, I comply with the recommendations. Just the idea of giving them the power to control my daily life would keep me up at night.
Even stupid people should have the right to their own discretion. These rights were earned with blood.
I heard on radio today they where tracking cells in Essex county some how shows owners postal code and some travelled hundred of miles over he weekend
Shrugs Over my paid grade
I’m surprised people are still comparing to influenza or the Spanish flu. It’s been shown to be 5-10 times deadlier than influenza. And how can we compare to the Spanish Flu? For all we know, if this were 1918 there’d be as many, or more fatalities.
We eat better, we are healthier, personal hygiene is better, medicine is better, we’re there even vitamins back then...
hospitals are better (were there defibrillators, x-rays, ventilators back then?) we all own cars and can travel in isolation, living conditions are better (running water to wash our hands) , there’s less poverty, and on and on.
if this were 1918......where the streets of New York, Toronto were still dirt, where horses were still common. Where in the EU, many still used outhouses....with no running water....where people bought snake oil for common colds.... maybe it would be worse?
With respect to “Toronto the clean”...is anyone surprised? This is why, many, think or felt cottages and small towns.......
The spikes in numbers, I would guess, nothing more than the nice weather arriving
We say we are shutdown but since March 23rd Canada received 193,000 international air travelers and 76,000 from the US. I take it they all obeyed the 14 day quarantine period.
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/covid...nada-1.5583241
Look at all the flights in the air right now - https://flightaware.com/live/
Yet,Canadians are told to self isolate, stay home, the economy is 95% closed down, our borders are closed to all non-essential (?) travel. Wouldn't it make sense to close all airports to international travel, stop all immigration, especially, illegals coming across unmanned and insecure border crossings, too? But,N-O-O-O,we couldn't do that,it would be "racist". The more we critically look at the big picture, the more we start to see glaring inconsistencies in the entire Covid-19 process. Some things just aren't adding up.
