I’m just used to 4-stroke engines - what is the correct oil to gas mix for these motors?

Evinrude use 100;1 but you can run 50;1

I think for 100 to 1 you are referring to Amsoil Sabre not designed for outboards though. That's is made for small engines like chainsaws.Quote:

My buddy's 2008? yamaha 9.9 runs on 100:1. He says leaner the meaner lol, I won't go on big lakes with him. I run my 1980 evinrude 9.9 at 40.1 amsoil. I would be asking manufacturer if I was using a new engine.

50:1 and don’t worry about it.
I think you're right but I still mix it at 50:1 for my small engines. Plus I use Sea Foam in everythingQuote:
