So hunting this season hasn't been easy. The farm I usually hunt deer has a bear problem this fall. Two mommas with cubs seem to be around daily raiding the neighboring corn feild. I have more time in the stand veiwing bears than deer. So the gf and I setup on my spring bear spot this morning. I had a doe come in about 7 am walk right up to me and have a staring contest. I wasn't able to move until she figure it was time to leave. So around 10 we packed up had to get home and give the pup his medication. He was recently neutered and has anti-inflammatory drugs every 12 hours. We went back out for 2pm and by 4 that same doe was walking my way. While her head was behind a large tree I raised my crosbow. Found a small opening I figured she was walking into. Soon as she entered and I had good sight I pulled the trigger roughly a 40 yard shot. Arrow nailed her in the spine and she hit the ground. Realizing what happen Ashley rushed over and slit the throat. Hopefully a Buck will come soon but I'm very happy with my Doe.Attachment 41108
