My camp is up that way to we have alot of fun not much game seen but we are a small camp 5 hunter at most.we do see alot of tracks and bear every day we see bears.I would try this year or maybe put out a camera an see whats around yyour place.I would find it hard that there is no game in the area.We have even seen elk around camp.I gpt some pictures of them some were I will try and find them for you and put them up for you
Definitely wasn't knocking the Domtar camps! I hunted as a guest in one for two years and loved the terrain. Completely different from what I'm in farther north. Only hunted two days each year but blooded a new rifle there.
While some hydro lines are on easements we travelled the ones east of 62 from 1973 up until about 1997 and never saw any indication that the road was on private land. Since I moved up here in 98 I've hardly had time to go that far afield...
Well folks that is certainly a bunch of reading at the end of the day to get caught up on. Thanks for all the info. Sounds like there's opportunities out there but knowing the boundaries is the issue!! I didn't think it was that easy to get into one of the Domtar camps. Or ant hunt camp for that matter. I'd be interested in something like that I'm thinkin. Or even just getting out for a day if anyone's looking for company
