2015 Chronic Wasting Disease Testing
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry conducts an annual surveillance program for chronic wasting disease in deer. This year, scientists will be testing deer harvested in the following central Ontario wildlife management units: 42, 46 (north of Parry Sound only), 47, 49 and 50.

If you harvest deer in these wildlife management units, you can participate in the testing program by:
- giving roving crews a small tissue sample from the head of your deer
- dropping off your deer’s head at a Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry freezer within a few days of harvest.
You can drop off the head of your deer at these freezer locations.
