Ice Fishing Trout 2021
Well good start to the season.
Stopped at the MINNOW DRIVE THRU to pick up some bait, had to call it in, the girl came running out with my two dozen minnows. I told her she needs to talk to Tim's to make this a one stop shop. lol
Drove 1.5 hours then snowmobiled in half an hour.
Crossed the lake to fish at the mouth of the creek.
There was 4' of water and 15" of solid ice.
Caught 14 natural Brook Trout and kept the biggest 5.
Only fished a couple of hours.
Great day out at -3, social distancing was awesome as I had the lake to myself.

Dear, Deer Hunter,
I am one of the many internet CO'S and find some issue with your fishing luck. I feel perhaps something was not legal in your setup. Please forward me GPS coordinates of your spot along with rigging techniques and depth at which fish were caught so I can investigate.
Nice fish!

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

I use a small pink and/or orange hook with a small split shot. I was using shiners and/or large minnows.
I use a long flexible branch and only pass line over it, not tying it. I place my rod in a ABS pipe.
I also caught a few jigging with a small white Rapala with a splash of pink (on pic).
If I remember, I can take a few pics today.

Haha, I can give you a GPS coordinate, but you might end up catching weird looking fish in a tailings pond. lol
