    Default Queenston launch closed

The road to the boat launch in Queenston on the Lower Niagara is gated off. No boat launching or shore fishing allowed. Saw this today.............................Daniel
It's not the mountain ahead that wears you out, it's the grain of sand in yer shoe.

Boat launching? I can’t imagine not ice fishing in the winter.

Ya, because that is where the virus is coming from... Silliness at it`s finest.

Private boat launches are going to be the norm if municipalities keep closing public launches. Last May I went to Dunnville to do some fishing and my regular launch is now closed to the public (members only). After trying one of the other launches in the area I gladly went back and paid for a membership.

In my area the LaSalle launch was closed the for summer leaving only Pier 4 open and Fisherman's Pier open. I also hear that Hamilton wants to develop the land under the bridge and we would loose that launch as well.

This shows how inept municipalities are at trying to control this virus. They close boat launches and they restrict access to hiking trails along the Bruce Trail but I can walk the 4 blocks from my house to Spencer Smith Park and see hundreds of people walking, biking, roller blading and very few social distancing. The beach parking lots are overflowing with cars and people are everywhere. You can stand in line in front of COSTCO or WalMart and go shopping because the store is packed.

Another fine example of our leaders doing what is easy and not what is right.

Haha. Wild. Must still be cold in a boat.
