I’m not easily offended by ‘cussing in person but am ‘put off’ by it more in online forums, social media, or gaming where there are many readers old/young. When debating a person it is easy for a swear word to pop up but when writing you have taken the time to put words on a page where you can see them and even reread them before posting. It seems a little more rude, inconsiderate, & unprofessional.
Oddly I see much more cursing via FB with the perpetrators being ‘soccer moms’ (hope that doesn’t offend).
Actually read several articles on the positives of cursing - again I’d temper that with there being a difference between verbal vs written.
And timely enough here’s a CNN report. Apologies to anyone considering CNN a swear word.

what kinda bothers me is almost every post or comment on off topic and other topic threads is
"left this"
"right this"
agenda this
agenda that
instead of crapping on what someone thinks and assuming their left or right or up or down, how about talking without the left or right B.s
why do you have to be right or left? why cant you just decide whats right or wrong or your personal opinion's without bringing up the left or the right. thats what i dont get.

This forum has become an off topic/political site. Almost all of the posts that garner the most views/replies, have nothing to do with the outdoors/hunting/fishing/firearms. You can say it is because of Covid or cabin fever, or whatever you like. Bottom line, if you want to talk hunting or fishing, this isn't the place where you will get the most input.

Have to agree, seems like the mods just sit back and let it go on and on. Unfortunate. I mod on another board and this type of granola is wiped out with haste.

There are two main members on here who generally and deliberately (by their own admission) try to incite. When those two are not here most can have a reasonable conservation.

I might add one of those twon almost never contributes to the hunting or fishing area. You can easily check his profile.

Those two literally wouldn't last a day on OFC before getting the boot. They have a good non outdoors forum as well but learned over the years what happens so anything political is strictly verboten. Even a long standing hockey thread got locked down when friendly banter went too far and a leafs fans actually started threatening to beat up on some folks.
