    Cool Spring weather

Outside thermometer on the north side of the house says 21C and about 20 redwing blackbirds just landed at the bird feeder.... spring!

Very strong winds out there today too, I would think it will cause issues with the ice on some lakes! So unless your hut is part rowboat you may want to reconsider any ice outings!

We're just being teased. I've taken to watching the snow melt on my front lawn, dug drains to get rid of snow melt, I'm working on a whole new batch of lures for lakers and pickerel, cleaned up the outboards, varnished my canoe paddles and I know we're going to get anther dump of snow before this month is over. I'm not sure if covid is worse than the inevitable or not.

Statistically, we usually get one more big dump around St Paddy's Day...after that it's just the odd 'skiff' that melts quickly.

The ice is gone off Long Point Inner Bay and the divers are showing up. Farm pond just melted and Woodies are checking it out. Soon be Turkey season too ! Glad winter is over and this COVID crisis is getting under control. Can't wait for those user friendly temperatures to return !
