Spring Has Sprung
Went of a drive yesterday and saw Geese on the river, Turkeys strutting in the fields and flocks of Ducks were flying over head when I walked the dog this morning.
Got home and the wife gave me the 'Spring Honey Do' list for the weekend. HaHa..

Can't help but picture that in cartoon form, like a thought bubble filled with some hunter's paradise...truck filled with turkeys and ducks, just you and the dog walking in a sunny green meadow with your favourite music playing, a steak sizzling on the bbq, no one there to bother you, and then the wife comes and pops it with a pin and you wake up LOL.

It certainly is looking up! Saw a couple woodies fly down into the creek yesterday, first time they have beat the Robins back.
The next week looks real nice, here's hoping the trend continues.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

I’ve had robins 4 days. Commercial fishing tugs every morning for this week. Yup toms are displaying nice having time to watch them
Was in bush other day walking looking for sheds on deer paths bumped into 8 deer standing in a group I ducked behind a tree was fun watching them trying to see me. I’ve had deer looking around trees at me before. Was time I played hide and seek with them

Oh y’a, nothing beats snowmobiling when it’s +14 degrees C.
Might drill a few holes later.

It’s been sunny and mild for a week up here along the shore of Lake Superior. Unfortunately, old man winter isn’t ready to throw in the towel yet as we are going to get smacked mid-week.

I spent the day outside putting the new log splitter to work with this balmy 15 C. Got a small fire going as well to burn bark.
At 4 pm even though I was exhausted the wife convinced me to go for a walk.
Made it back and sat down in front of the fire pit with a cold beer until dinner was ready.
Life is good!
PS: The bottom logs are frozen into the ground. Will get to them later.

Saw the first two geese of the year here yesterday while out walking on the dry lake bed. Even with as warm of a winter as we had this year it sure feels good to get the late March sun warming your face.
Yesterday marked the end of playtime for me aside from the odd day here and there. Today the work begins, rather enjoyable sitting here with my coffee watching the sun start to rise.
