Default The Liberal government needs a data-driven plan

The pressure is on to justify the lockdowns.

"Under the guidance issued by the Center for Disease Control over two weeks ago, fully vaccinated Americans can gather indoors, without keeping their distance or wearing masks, with unvaccinated people from a single household who are at low risk of developing severe disease from COVID-19."

"Here in Canada, Canadians have yet to receive any similar guidance. In fact, itís been the opposite; there has been no clarity on when families can be safely reunited, even for vaccinated Canadians Ė never mind guidance on the conditions under which all other COVID-19 restrictions would be safely and permanently lifted."

"A year into the pandemic, we have tools like rapid tests, therapeutics, vaccines and data on how COVID-19 is transmitted. Lockdown measures were put in place to buy time to get these tools. Now that these are available worldwide, the federal government needs to tell Canadians how theyíre going to be deployed, under what timelines, and, most importantly, how theyíre going to be used to lift widespread restrictions permanently."

"Calls for reopening guidelines are being made by industry and civil society groups across the country. This is why Conservatives have introduced a motion in the House of Commons that will force the Liberal government to provide Canadians within 20 days a clear, data-driven plan to support safely, gradually and permanently lifting COVID-19 restrictions. Members of Parliament will vote on this motion on Wednesday."

"Canadians are resilient and have come together to protect one another. Now, the Liberals need to show Canadians that their sacrifice isnít indefinite."

"All across Canada, everyone is working on their re-opening plans. Businesses, industry associations, sports clubs, you name it. Individuals and families are working on their plans for all of the fun things theyíre going to do soon and the great reunions theyíre planning to have."
"But not the federal government. Not Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He remains Canadaís biggest downer, seemingly happy to keep the nation under some form of restrictions for whoever knows how long."

"Itís not acceptable. Itís not leadership."
"Politicians in other countries, from across the political spectrum, are championing responsible re-openings."

The Liberals would NEVER agree to a data driven plan, because it would expose their mis-management ... lack of data creates huge loop holes for failure to manage ... hard to prove anything.

What misinformation??? OK try to prove this is "misinformation":

    1) Federal deficit will be greater than $300 billion ... (https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/fede...wave-1.5209807) ... let's compare ... see that red bar vs. the grey (fact) bars?

    bloomberg-graph-deepest-into-the-red.jpg

    2) GDP dropped 5.1% in same time period ... biggest drop EVER! (https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/cana...ats-2021-01-29)

I'm not actually expecting you to respond with facts or data ... it's not your style ... you're going to do the same old by deflecting with some other useless information, blaming someone else (let's pick George Washington this time, why not?) or respond with a question ...

Guess you missed the joke.....I was talking about something other than the budget or politics at all, for that matter. I don't need proof, any proof, I have faith, that everything happens for a reason. Lol.

    Trump happened for reasons.

    Ford happened for reasons

    Harris happened for reasons.

And what you utterly fail to grasp, or fail to acknowledge, or fail to care about.

Is that those reasons are coming with big consequences. Whether in places like Alberta, or Ontario. Whether we are talking economic activity, and GDP growth. Or peons losing jobs, businesses or significant amounts of their normal incomes. Or where and how tax revenue gets spent or simply tax revenue going in the toilet when peons lose jobs and incomes. Sacrificing.......

Don’t believe me? Ask any small town in Ontario..who still haven’t recovered...It’s all one great big joke isn’t it?

im curious, since this all started in March 2020. Have you lost or sacrifice anything?

    As for the topic.
yeah, god forbid Liberals, health officials etc rely on anything approaching statistics or data. They seem to have stats and models for the weather and Covid aplenty. But no stats or plans on how to help those thrown overboard, or even models for things like depression, divorce, substance abuse, how far this is setting have nots back, impacts on children who don’t understand why mommy and daddy are selling the house, or not seeing friends for a year...
    and more

There are no facts in the Liberal paradise and no policy they put forward is fact driven.

Through the research I have done over the years it's apparent to me that the left's approach to Climate Change, COVID and other issues have nothing to do with science or reality and everything to do with a political agenda and the pursuit of power.

To the left, when dealing with issues like the transgender issue, COVID and Climate Change, science is only valuable and valid if it is consistent with their ideological dogma.

The left complains about religions and religious dogma but fail to see the similarities in their devotion to their anti-scientific leftist ideological dogma. Contrary to what they would have you believe, Atheism and the current progressivism are religions.

Would that be kinda like the government giving out misleading information. ? What about covid 19 deaths is it misinformation? You know the people who died from covid and died with covid? There is a difference but they just all got added together . Wonder why the government would mislead the public and report more deaths from people with covid and didn't necessarily die from covid. But hey they had to keep the numbers high to keep the fear spreading.
