The great think about the military style firearm, is that there is a number of things that can be adjusted so they can better fit the shooter. To bad the government has bought into a banal idea, they have no place as a tool for hunting.

All they have to do is make one that is not on an AR platform, AR like is not AR and the are still tons of semi auto NR guns that are very similar to ARs but you can hunt with them.

Man the rules are so stupid.

Well the laws seem to be based on votes and creating fear and the biggest lies they can put out to get more votes. They are looking for ways to get votes otherwise they would attack all semi's and "sniper rifles" (recent Trudeau comments) instead of piece meal since they obviously don't want to attack the real issues (gangs and smuggling).
Meanwhile, there are companies that push bolt action AR (Armalite) style rifles.... I wonder if they would still call it scary, it has a scope so it is probably a sniper rifle now.
Lots of ridiculous laws out there with essentially no reason, the 25 and 32 calibres for example.

Yep, the 25 and 32 ban was to ban pocket pistols, but they already had banned pocket pistols by banning short barrelled pistols.

They banned some semi autos that are black rifles and many others that are not that look very similar but on a different platform.

The same stupidity that allows the SKS to be a NR but the AK semi-auto only is prohibited in this country.

Give them time... I’m sure Billy Liar and his RCMP will
be getting around to those firearms.

I wonder if the market in the U.S. might have dried up for Ar 15,s on that recent shooting, it look's like Joe has his eyes on them.
Only takes 10 Republicans to stop taking money from the NRA and holding the American people hostage.

Nothing wrong with the AR-15, one has never been used in a mass shooting in Canada, except for taken off a dead police officer.

The mindset of Americans are to use guns to solve a problem and there is a greater sense of fear, it is essentially what they are raised on. It is also a culture of war, do you know that there has never been a single generation of American that has lived in a time of peace, every single generation since independence has been in combat.

Being at war stimulates the economy...

The statistic represents the U.S. defense outlays from 2000 to 2019 with an additional forecast from 2020 to 2030, as a percentage of the Gross Domestic Product. Defense outlays amounted to 676 billion U.S. dollars in 2019, which was about 3.2 percent of the U.S. GDP. The forecast predicts an increase in defense outlays up to 888 billion U.S. dollars in 2030, which would be about 2.9 percent of the U.S. GDP.

Pretty sure the guy in portapique had an AR and it was before he killed the RCMP officer.
