Armies of lawyers are paid big money to argue semantics.
Let's eat Grandma!
Let's eat, Grandma!
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Interestingly it's also interpreted as giving states ( such as the 9th) the power to thwart the government ( Supreme court?)
the Second Amendment also provided state governments with what Luther Martin (1744/48–1826) described as the “last coup de grace” that would enable the states “to thwart and oppose the general government
So even if someday, gun rights win...Could the anti gun lobby claim tyranny and take up arms?
A well regulated militia.
Suggest controls of any measure, short of bans are within keeping of the amendment.

It’s the “bear arm” part that seems to be being argued here. The 2nd amendment as it’s been interpreted for years has been clear that in the USA it is a right. Here in Canada it is viewed by most as a privilege. Sure under property rights one can make the argument that it is a right. But in the broader view it is not. (A PAL is required.) You have the right to own a car, but there are licensing and registration requirements to use that vehicle other than on your own property. Certainly will be interesting to see where it goes.

But the 9th from what I read are bringing in controls, not bans???
So would it not fall under well regulated? I’m thinking lawyers will argue that for eternity.

Has too much time on their hands
Best of luck.
Their rights are not to be infringed upon.
Trump 2024 will restore faith, freedom, justice, peace and prosperity in USA.

You got it wrong - we are not afraid or paranoid - we just recognize that there could be situations where having a gun available is prudent - should you go into grizzly bear country would it be. prudent to have a firearm with you - you don't necessarily need to be afraid - there are bad people out there and as the Boy Scouts use to say - be prepared - when I carry a gun I am not afraid - I feel secure - then there is the bigger picture - knowing that a government can enslave its citizens when they are disarmed the right to bear arms is very important - just look at history for plenty of examples of that happening - it is happening all over the world today -

Well Joe I am not worried about being enslaved by our Government any more than I am presently enslaved, think taxes, regulations, licenses, laws, bye laws,... I also don't think I am going to be eaten by a grizzly bear. There are bad
people out there, there are bad people everywhere, are you going to need a gun to hold onto all the time. What happens
Joe if you leave your cocoon and want to travel, you don't have a gun on you in lets say Canada.

Believe me I don't like going to Canada without a firearm - I have to take bear spray with me - just in case - the one thing I don't understand is why there hasn't been a shooting war at some of these riots that went on during the last couple months - when a gang of lefties attack someone that person has the right to start shooting to protect his life - one kid did take out a couple lefties a couple months ago when they came after him - we need more of that then maybe the lefties will start behaving themselves - I always felt that if I was attacked by a mob some folks are going down -
Years ago - in the early 60s there were race riots here in the U.S. - I think they resulted from the Rodney King incident - at that time looters were often shot by the police - I was going to night school in Newark N. J. at the time and remember some looters being shot around the school after breaking into stores - at that time the mayor of N.Y. city said that killing someone for stealing a TV wasn't the thing to do - that thought took hold and after that looters had a free ride - now whenever some folks feel like they want some goodies they find an excuse to loot - it's like Christmas for them with all the stuff they end up with -

Brilliant idea Joe. If we just shoot a few more lefties in the street it should bring them all back in line. Yeah that should fix em. (Wishing there was a font for sarcasm.)
Oh by the way, Rodney King was 1991.
