Default 13-14 yr old Kids with drugs and guns

I've become pretty much numb to these stories but this on caught my eye...how in the heck did these kids get this much money, drugs and guns ???

Note: this isn't the US...it's London Ont !!

During their searches, officers seized a rifle, several sawed-off shotguns, ammunition, three replica handguns, as well as $104,000 worth of metamphetamine and $33,000 worth of fentanyl.

Now, two 14-year-olds and one 13-year-old have been jointly charged with three counts of possession of a loaded gun, three counts of careless storage of a gun, two counts of unauthorized possession of a restricted weapon and two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, among other charges.

It's amazing what our public education system is teaching the youth of today. They are being taught to shorten the barrels and stocks of long guns, I guess so they can be hidden out of view under clothing. They are picking up replica handguns, from who knows where. Isn't it being explain to them that such items are prohibited weapons. What is wrong with their teacher didn't they explain that they shouldn't be acquire such items, that they are illegal to have in their possession. It would seem that our whole public education system is going to hell in a handbag. It should be better educating our kids, about these matter. How are they going to grow up and become responsible citizen, if they are not being instructed in what that means?

It's been happening for a long time it's rare to see the quantity of drugs tho. Seen that the youngest in BC just overdosed at the age of 12.

I could get anything I wanted at the age of 16 some of my friends even younger.

Heck plenty of parents get high with their 14 or 15 olds and their friends.

As the Left would say they are just misunderstood and don't know right from wrong.

BS, kid's know right from wrong and consequences when they are as young as 10.

I truly believe, that at that age you are a product of your environment. Granted, Not always. If you see your ‘significant authoritative figure ‘ sitting around making ‘ deals ‘ all day, you believe that’s normal .

Exactly, it starts at home not in school.

Don't agree, I had friends on both sides of the tracks when I was growing up. I grew up with kid's who came from horrible homes and turned out great and kid's who came from great homes who became hard core criminals.

I believe Fishcan clarified his statement with "granted, not always"? Of course GW, there are exceptions to any situation, but you're not going to make a blanket statement like this without rebuttal of some kind. The story MP posted is about children. These children are very susceptible to things they learn from their environment and authorative figures around them Their brain hasn't had a chance to decide for themselves what is wrong or right, good or bad. Regardless what side of the tracks these kids live on, they are the product of their environment, pure and simple.
