Great first post but would love a little more meat on the bone. Tell use a little bit about the dog, where you went. Let use live vicariously through your adventures

none the less welcome back
hows the eating on them? similar to pheasant i guess as theyre in the same family of species?
actually been seeing some pheasants again around where i go, havent seen any of those or rabbits in a while loks like theyre making a little come back.

They are smaller than pheasant but much better to eat
I hardly get time for forums..hunting since I was a kid..occasional angler, full time hunter..
Hunting is quite restricted due to very smaller season so Find outfitters to be a good alternative for birds all year round.
However, ultimate passion is always Deer..

They taste like chicken feed. Released birds day of hunt so not much of a wild taste to them really won't see them off a game farm unless incidental loss bird from a private release.
You say you've been seeing wild pheasants? Would love a pm as to general location...heck if you want to get after them over a decent dog in the fall give me a shout also
