I'm all for tighter penalties ... but I think we have to recognize, criminals don't care about laws.
Look at our current government, threatening the attorney general, interfering with RCMP and ethics violations, assisting a company in evading criminal acts, blocking RCMP and ethics investigations, reducing mandatory sentences, removing the requirement to disclose spending from Indian reserves.... I don't think our current Liberal government cares about the laws too, they actually reduced mandatory sentences on many crimes too

His conclusion that you need to buy a new restricted to bring the conditions into force is complete nonsense.
Your comments seem like you skimmed and didn't pay attention or you think his trying to explain the idiocy in this legislation and actually looking at and quoting the legislation and people being informed is nonsense .... an advocate of ignorance or just unwilling to... never mind... sad. A firearms lawyer that just did a 3 gun competition and is quoting the laws and you have greater "wisdom"

I hope others take his advice and choose to not blindly trust the government, he is right "interesting legal cases are expensive" and this government has lies probably thousands of times since 2015 and the RCMP, well remember, they broke the law and kept a copy of the firearms registry and have given bad advice and messed up many times.

Runkle is a lawyer, who is an active restricted firearms owner/shooter. While he may not give the appearance of a hollywood idol and his "droning" might bore you, be assured, I'd much rather listen to his advice/suggestions.

Then maybe he should have waited a day or two.
You always had to keep the paperwork with your conditions on your when transporting, if it was a long term ATT then you had to keep that, now they have a long term ATT to go to any gun range in Ontario as a standard condition. This is actually easier than before Harper changed it, it used to be that you could only go to 1 gun range and you had to get a new short term ATT to go to any other gun range and you needed an invitation from that club to be able to get that short term ATT.
I do agree that this is annoying but this is not as bad as it was back with the last Liberals at the helm, not yet at least.
