Because in 6 months you will be required to have the booster shot to be fully vaccinated. As they are doing in Isreal now.

They will have to start all over again, hoping to vaccinate 80% before 6 months are up and the next Booster is released.

That's why the whole passport business is flawed. Especially since over 30% of doubled vaxxed are now getting Covid again. They will have to face the same restrictions as the un-vaccinated.

Remember the common cold how it spread like wildfire every fall and there is still no vaccine for it. What did we do..you stayed home in bed till you felt better ! This will end up being no different.

    Just looked...

Ontario has 850 cases, 24% are fully vaccinated...this is after 4 months.

Israel, after 6 months is 60%...our future come fall.

Meanwhile, Israeli health officials reported what appeared to be a waning efficacy of the vaccine, including among those who had been double vaccinated. Data showed that of the serious cases being admitted to hospital, around 60 per cent of patients were people who had been fully vaccinated, though most were over 60 or with underlying health conditions.

Plans to introduce vaccine passports for access into nightclubs and large events in England will not go ahead, the health secretary has said.

Sajid Javid told the BBC: "We shouldn't be doing things for the sake of it."

Under the scheme, people would have been required to show proof - whether of double vaccination, a negative Covid test or finishing self-isolating after a positive PCR test - in order to gain entry to clubs and other crowded events.

The Night Time Industries Association had said the plans could have crippled the industry and led to nightclubs facing discrimination cases.

The industry body welcomed Sunday's announcement, saying it hoped businesses could now plan with some certainty and start to rebuild the sector.

The Music Venue Trust, which aims to protect grassroots venues, also said it was glad vaccine passports would not be going ahead, describing them as "problematic".

There had been opposition from Tory MPs on the Covid Recovery Group as well as the Liberal Democrats, whose leader Ed Davey called vaccine passports "divisive, unworkable and expensive".

He said he had "never liked the idea of saying to people you must show your papers" to "do what is just an everyday activity".

Interesting development, UK to dump the passport program...

LONDON (Reuters) -British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will set out on Tuesday his plans to manage the COVID-19 pandemic in the winter months, announcing a decision to scrap the introduction of vaccine passports and steps to end some emergency powers.

Speaking to broadcasters, Health Minister Sajid Javid said he did not anticipate more lockdowns and that the vaccine passports would not be introduced in England, as the government depends instead on vaccines and testing to defend the public.
