Well went for a few hours after work. Seen a dozen and managed 4. They weren’t so dumb today, they must of had a tailgate meeting with some pheasant. Haha. They would hide in tall grass and brush and wait till you were on them before taking off. Seen a nice Bear. Couple small bulls started moving around. Geese are moving like crazy.

Very nice! Sounds like some good numbers in your area. Another week or so to wait, for us southerners.

Yes great evening. We’re seeing good numbers this year. Seen a family of 8 or nine, could hear them but couldn’t see them in thick brush till they took off. Managed one out of that group. lol

Now that’s a good way to spend a couple of hours. Frankly, I’m jealous. Congrats.

All the big units were in cover and flushed. Took it as my queue to walk and stalk. Gentle bumped made It easy to spot them on birch and out of the grass or catch then running. Worked with this thick cover. The ruffies that flushed the most like Spruce and picked off in tree further in all turned out to be hybrids. easy limit by noon.

Was a great long weekend at the camp. Took a couple extra days off. Hunting Grouse in a t-shirt is always a bonus. Good numbers this year. I just needed to get off the main roads and venture in the grown in side roads and hit the jackpot.
