    Default Finally!

This is a delayed post. Ment to post it yesterday but was dead tired.

Got to the farm at 730 just as the sun was coming up. Dragged my butt pillow and 1 feeder decoy under 1 big pine tree on a little loop in the field edge. Sat for about 3 hours calling calling with absolutley nothing back. Hearing all kinds of leaves falling and the frost melting from the trees causing alot of random noises behind me. None the less sat for about 3 hours with nothing being seen.

My dads on the other side of the property and j get a text saying he's gunna walk the mile down to his deer spot to check things out. No problem.

Half hour goes past and I say screw it im getting a little cold as it was 0degrees that morning. Feet were freezing.

So I get up turn around and head into the bush to go behind the next loop edge and head for my camera to pull the card.

Making all types of noise going through dropped leaves fallen trees and higher water levels. I get to the field edge on the next loop and see 5 or 6 heads pop up and see me through the bush. I dont make a step. All im thinking is Jesus just my luck they were 30 feet behind me and didn't give two poops about my calling. They put their heads back down to eat and I dip down to my knees and crawl under some brush. Pop up 10 feet closer get my gun up on 1 of their heads and boom!

A years and a half ive been trying for these guys and I got 1 finally in the fall!

Great effort and some quick tactical thinking in the field. You earned a nice bird!

Not seeing to many birds out here now not sure if it’s cooler weather or if they’ve moved to soybean fields. Definitely less bugs
