Default Winter fishing getaway to Florida

One of the best things about competing in the Bassmaster Elite Series is hooking up my boat in late January and heading to Florida.

I like to go fishing in Florida, especially in winter. There is a great fish you can catch: Spotted Seatrout, Redfish, Pompano

Over the past few years I've taken winter trips to Florida, some for less than a week and for as long as a month. I usually concentrate on salt water fly fishing. This year I set a personal record and fished for 22 days in a row. If you are taking your boat check up on boating regs. I brushed up on all the fishing regs no issues but recieved warnings for and had to purchase a fire extinguisher, flare gun, throwable floatation device and proof of ownership. If your not a boater I understand that the entire shoreline up to the highest tide line is public access, which makes for thousands of miles of shore or wade fishing.
