Jan - it is like they know the season is over
I swear every January they just start to appear on the cameras like they know the season is over!

It may have to do with the swamps and marshlands freezing over. The habitat changes and so do their routines IMHO
This is what I have observed over the years.

Less snow + more foraging = more survival (hopefully)
