New Spypoint cell camera is coming out
I received a notice from Spypoint today about a new camera coming out, it’s called the Flex. Details include:
- [COLOR=#000000]33MP Photos
- [COLOR=#000000]1080p Videos with Sound
- [COLOR=#000000]Photo & Video Transmission
- [COLOR=#000000]Dual-SIM for Multi-Carrier Auto-Connectivity
- [COLOR=#000000]New Optimized Antenna
- [COLOR=#000000]0.3s Responsive Trigger
- [COLOR=#000000]100 ft. Flash & Detection Range
- [COLOR=#000000]Test & Format Buttons
- [COLOR=#000000]Remote Firmware Updates
- [COLOR=#000000]Four Capture Modes
I’m not sure what the cost will be but this “might” be a good camera but lots of people have soured on Spypoint and won’t want to take a chance on this model. It might be prudent to see some of the reviews once it’s been on the market for 6 months or so. I suspect that, given some of the features, it could be a pig on batteries.

Thanks Sam. Soured is right. Its going to take a lot of convincing and unbiased positive reviews before I change my plan to replace all my Spypoints with the new Tactacams.

That new Flex looks like it’s taken on some of the traits that the new Tactacam already has. For starters the large antenna.
I think it will be interesting to see where the price point is, considering the Tactacam is quite affordable and reliable.
Edit: I just did some searching around on the ol’facebook, looks like the price point is $199 CAD , available this summer

I be waiting to read lots of reviews on them before buying another. Not impressed with the last 2 I had.

It was about time they added the video transmission feature. Good price point.

I won't buy anything from spypoint until I get my two link-s to work reliably.
I wouldn't even take a free one.

I've had a few issues with my Link Micro S (x3) but have been able to resolve them. I concur that Spypoint needs to step up it's game. Having said that, I'm interested in this new cam.

This will be last year i use Linkmicro last year i had issues and their tech updated OTA to V1.18.13-30 Ive just found out support has been pulled for this version and to downgrade to the one posted, which they cannot do OTA. they need to keep customers updated all it would take was a little note on the firmware page. Sorry Spypoint but you are going to be down another customer your support team did an excellent job but you as a company did not come thru.

I'll stick to my Amazon cameras. Cheap and work just as well. Batteries are awesome on them too. Finally changes them this year had been running the same batteries for 2 years.
