Emergencies Act ???
So Trudeau is planning to invoke the Emergencies Act according to the CBC…..
we’ve known all along that he was dangerous to democracy but this is utterly ridiculous

Yeah but blocking commerce at international borders is probably what sparked this. It’s unacceptable, and it’s doing more harm. If protesters won’t leave, the provinces have little choice. Time the feds step up.

The current circumstances in Ottawa or on the border would not appear to meet the definition of a national emergency under Section 3 of the Emergencies Act.
https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/e-4.5/
National emergency
3 For the purposes of this Act, a national emergency is an urgent and critical situation of a temporary nature that
(a) seriously
endangers the lives, health or safety of Canadians and is of such proportions or nature as to exceed the capacity or authority of a province to deal with it, or
(b) seriously threatens the ability of the Government of Canada to preserve the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Canada
and that
cannot be effectively dealt with under any other law of Canada.
The Ambassador Bridge was reopened without anyone being hurt and was well within the capacity of the province to manage. The events in Ottawa while no doubt upsetting to the residents do not fall into the category of endangering life and can be managed with any number of other Canadian laws without stripping away the Charter rights of every single person in the country.

the Ambassador bridge protest was dealt with, that’s no excuse whatsoever.

Proclaiming the Emergencies Act is the ultimate act of desperation of a failed government. Comparing Trudeau 1 with Trudeau 2 is like apples and oranges. Trudeau 1 needing to act quickly and decisively was necessary because he was dealing with imminent armed insurrection from a rebel faction that demonstrated the ability to kill. I was there in the thick of it at the time and it was really scary shyte. Trudeau 2 is in no way in any position to do the same as Daddy. It WILL be his greatest undoing.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Since when does this village idiot concern himself with the rule of law ? He will do what he wants, then come out from under his bed and cry about it and make ANOTHER insincere apology…same old same old with this idiot !!

Only partly blocked just slowed down. They can't fully block it.
It wasn't the protesters at the ambassador that decided to close the rd.
Are we going to use extreme measures for a small fringe as the government would put it.
Deal with the problem we have a prime Minister for that we have one that is supposed to be a leader but he ran and hide called them names and racial slurs.
Seems like the science is changing faster nowadays lol.
Following the science eh just like how it shows kids didn't need to be vaccinated. Some yes but it wasn't putting a strain on the health care system.
Do it for the better not what the science says.
What's happening with the little kids vaccines ? Seems like they are having a we bit of an issue
How do you get and Follow the science when they use manipulated number's? That's not science it's manipulation at its finest. Used for a political opportunity and now we know the opportunity came from the WEF.
Why no talk on the negative side ? Do we not even have the rights to know or discuss it?
Every Canadian who spoke out was canned. Why ? Because we need to follow the manipulated numbers?
Government needs to step up or get out and the people are speaking up. They are still claiming on certain media's that it's the unvaccinated 10 percent of the truckers at these protest. If couldn't be further from the truth.
When the government is dis honest the people have a right to stand up. To and over reached government.
