Polls are only numbers and we can all garner the numbers we want too suit our needs but the one I find totally ludicrous is that 47% of Canadians are concerned about gun violence in there communities. Where did the liberal party of Canada take these surveys on the corner of Jane and finch I don't know but I can tell you in the community I live in it isn't even remotely a blip on the radar. From what I can see of these frequently played ads is that there is a big load of manure soon to be deployed by the so called government of Canada. Cheers and God bless Canada.

Has too much time on their hands
I had the radio on 680 to listen to the news and traffic.... just about every other ad was the Libs spouting their "assault weapons" and aren't we doing a good job fiction.

Why are we not creating PSA’s to educate the public? Sure we can sit here and stew about this but it’s not helping our cause. If anything the more exposure to Msm the better. I’m surprised none of the big and small gun shops in Canada have not banded together to bring about positive imagery.

Because the CCFR, CSSA, NFA don't have bottemless pockets funded by taxpayers, I do see the CCFR et al have done some good work with the funding they do get to show that the Liberal "truth" and facts are again unrelated.

Forget focussing on the liberals. Don’t use them as a crutch to our inaction. Exposure exposure exposure!! And repeat. It needs to be brought to the mainstream. It needs to be shown in a positive light. It needs to show that our passion knows no limits, not race, sex, occupation, social status and age. All of our associations should fundraise together for this very purpose. Individually it would be difficult, but combined and working together we can effect positive change. It should be a main focus in my opinion.

Well as a SENIOR member on this forum and a Liberal Gun Owner I am shocked silly about this very insensitive remark you have made.
There have been scores and scores of posts on here about the concerns of our forum members on gun crimes, gang bangers, criminals with guns, its been on many ,many threads.
Now you come on here and say that this concern does not exist?
If you live in a rural area and do not watch MSM I can understand your perception might be a little off but surely you know people that visit the big cities and they can tell you about this happening.
There is hardly a day goes past when we do not hear about gun violence or gun crime, why the other day 2000 guns stolen in Peterborough.
So even although it may not be a blip on the radar in your area SPARE a thought for your fellow Canadians and now you can understand why the Liberals are so popular in urban area's fighting this gun crime.
The Liberals have been looking out for the victim's of domestic violence, mass shootings at Mosques and other Holy Places, mass shooting's of innocent girls at Universities, while the Conservatives would abandon them.

Well based on the actions, their reducing sentences, their broken promises to fight gangs.... the Liberals/NDP are a major contribution to the problem. The taxes have gone up and the average Canadian is now working over 40% of the year just for taxes and the average Canadian can't go into debt that would take their descendants hundreds of years to pay off so they have to tell the truth and hopefully those that care will pass it on or help fund it as they can.

You are basing that on what exactly?
Reducing sentences... no that's the Libs
Broken promises on funding anti-gang programs ... Libs again
Office of Religious freedoms ... cancelled by the Libs
I can go on but... hey #LibsDontCare

Look all I’m saying is that on 680 you can hear negative imagery of firearms and the tv ads that were mentioned. We aren’t going to win over the urban population with no media exposure. Yes the rural population are more educated on positive firearm imagery (save a few bad examples) . But they are more educated because of the positive relationships hunters work hard to promote. We need to promote these positive relationships in cities across Canada. The people need to know that guns aren’t the enemy and banning them isn’t the solution. We need more positive PR. We need to put ads on 680 and other msm. It’s time we stop playing defence and start playing offence. The court of public opinion means something. Sure we can lobby governments until we’re blue in the face, but it won’t mean much if the constituency won’t agree. Time to take the positive message to the people.

I mentioned that on your ccfr thread a couple weeks ago. We were getting syrup supplies in Heidelburg and we were listening to a couple of Kitchener stations, but nobody said anything when I brought it up.
