Offensive language examples:__
I feel like we've been steadily amending this already, that a member can cite an opinion on a political or religious stance, as long as they're not attacking the people who believe in it, i.e. You can attack the ideal but not the person.
Example: Said government is corrupt. -> A-ok.
The people who voted for said government are corrupt. -> Not okay.
As for offensive language, I'm not suggesting we include a laundry list of slurs, but what would you consider putting on here?
For me, anything that is purposely unkind is offensive.

That’s part of the problem ! During my career, a lot of the time I could have been deemed “unkind”, but certainly was not “offensive.”

IMO the rules are ok as is!
I believe admin and mods are simply way too nice.
The full time ….. disturbers that are only here to provoke, causing controversy and upsetting everyone should be kicked off the site permanently after they received their fair warnings.
I agree Sharon, anything unkind is offensive.

Absolutely. There are certainly times when one has to speak up , especially when moderating, and be tough. I'm talking about purposely being unkind for no good purpose.

Highlighted by me.
This has been consistently happening. That is why some members are saying that we are way too tough on here.
Rather than go back to the beginning of this thread, I'd also like to see the descriptions of the members eliminated. Who wants to see , "Borderline Spammer ". That might make me hesitant to post. I'd rather just see when they joined.

Yes agreed; those description defaults are strange and unnecessary.

I also agree with Sharon. And I think the rules are fine as they are. Caltek put a lot of thought into the existing rules.
