Default Looking for a new close lodge (Eastern Ontario)

    Hi all,

I'm looking for a new lodge/cabin place for walleye in Eastern Ontario (realize that can be difficult). We used to do fly-ins etc. up north - but since my little guy was born (He's 4) - been sticking closer to home so he can come and it's not too much of a big deal to take off to a town if there's an emergency need for popsicles or something.

For the last 4 years we had been going to Land O'Lakes lodge on Crotch just north of Sharbot Lake. They would just drop the Lund in for me at the start of the week and I had a blast. Super great lake and great place - but they sold it and it's gone. I loved the lake and the closeness - so I would have just booked at the other lodge that is beside it but they 'don't allow dogs'.

I don't do 5:30 AM trolls without my Lab + they were kind ignorant to my kid playing on their swing set when we stopped on our way back from town last year because we weren't 'staying there'. So, long and the short of it - they are out. Need a new place.

Looking for somewhere around there (or within another hour or so) that has Walleye. Live about an hour south of Ottawa.
Just cabins with fridge and stove etc. and docks where I can stick my boat for the week. Don't need anything fancy. Don't care about activities. Just want to be left alone to fish. So quiet is a bonus too. No Rideau system lakes or ones with guys flying around towing tubes - if at all possible. Only got a 16 footer, so I can't do with big, big water in case its a windy week.

Realize it's a stretch trying to stay in Eastern Ontario - but looking for ideas and feedback. Left it too late 'cause I was frustrated at losing the other place.

Anyways - any help much appreciated in advance.

    Thanks.

Try Camps Bay Resort on Big Gull Lake, has wallye, bass and pike and several back lakes with wallye only.
This place is family friendly and the owners are great, they have a play area for kids, have their own store and fishing gear and lots of ice cream, very clean cabins and they also have a large log cabin for large families or bigger group I have been there 5 or 6 times now and can't really complain about anything
