Whatís everyone using for batteries? Iím looking to upgrade. My brother in law recommended I get lithium iron, but Iím clueless when it comes to these things. By the looks of it theyíre pretty expensive. I will head into Costco and see what they have, probably go with agm.

    Thoughts?

AGM is fine, even the old lead acid work fine if you maintain them during off season. I've had some last up to 10 years. Keep a big solar panel hooked up.

Funny you should ask,I'm going to Costco for one tomorrow for the boat. I've had great success with Kirkland Deep Cycle batteries. I used to have one on my trailer that lasted over 10 years.

No Costco where I live so I get my batteries from Canadian Tire. When not in use, I hook them up to a battery maintainer… which is not the same as a battery charger.

You're not alone when it comes to feeling clueless about batteries. It's an overwhelming topic. I've been using AGM batteries in my travel trailer for a few years now and they have been good to me. They're a great balance between cost and performance, so that's what I'd recommend. If you go to Costco, I'm sure you'll find a few models that will work for you. I'm not sure if lithium iron is the way to go for travel trailers. It's really expensive and you'd have to invest in a good charger as well. You can find more info about solar batteries at Yonex. They might help you make the right choice.

If you get Canadian Tire AGM batteries makes sure you keep the warranty card. Mine went back three times.

Don't forget that LiIOns require specific charging and unless it's a newer trailer that has the option to charge different batteries, they may not be a good choice.
