Yes I think his tongue tripped and he stepped on it. He needs a real slap to wake himself.

Three days before Trudeau imposed the federal act, Ontario invoked the provincial emergencies legislation. Ontario's legislation has comparable powers but only applies in the province. It would be hypocritical of Ford to attack Trudeau for doing what he'd done only three days before.

Two lines from the article struck me with the notion what we need more of and what we need less of
    Those lines are
""The premier has said many times that he will work with any level of government, regardless of political stripe, to do what's best for Ontario," said a media statement from the premier's office."
    the other is
"One said that because Ford had done nothing to help the federal Conservatives, he would do nothing to support Ford."
Working together is a success working against well just another party blow up.

well the alternative is the NDP or Liberals, no other parties have any real standing

Ford invoked the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act to give police the needed authority to clear the Ambassador Bridge and reopen a vital transportation link the closure of which was hurting Ontario's economy. Ford made the right decision. There was however no need for Trudeau to impose the federal act as the police had all the power needed under the provincial act to clear the streets in downtown Ottawa. Just one fool and it's not Doug Ford.

This is true-but Doug has made more then few flip flops, and with the "friends"mantra at Covid times ,lost much of the "buy in" into his politics.
He is just another "run of the mill politician" ,talking ,to keep him in power.
I was hoping for a whole lot more from him........

Agreed on the need to clear the Windsor blockade, but the “shoulder to shoulder” approach to clearing out the streets in Ottawa does not endear him to many Conservatives
