Video: Pileated Woodpecker Smashes Away at Stump for Food (Ottawa)
Hello All,
Filmed this beautiful male pileated woodpecker this past weekend, smashing away at an old stump in my parents front yard while looking for insects. Always amazing to see how quickly they can work through wood.

It's amazing the precision they have and know how to splinter chunks of wood off of that stump. Nice stuff Justin...
