    Default DIY: lure unsnagger

    https://oodmag.com/diy-lure-unsnagger/

You just snagged your favourite lure during a great day of catching fish and can’t get it unhooked on your own. Now what?
What can I but enumerate old themes,
First that sea-rider Oisin led by the nose
Through three enchanted islands, allegorical dreams,
Vain gaiety, vain battle, vain repose,
Themes of the embittered heart, or so it seems.

Doesn’t make sense to me as it has no independent line to pull with. The weak link is still your fishing line that's going to break when you pull. Attach a piece of 150 lb line to the sinker and now you will be able to free your lure, even if you have to straighten the hooks to do so.
