I will have to try this. My question is who is paying 150US for castor because I have a few I'd like to ship at that price

Oops. USD should be Canadian dollars. Last sale was in June at North Bay and No 1’s were $150 western and $137.50 easterns. I used to send mine to Gord Stickles ( no weight deduction or commission taken off the weight of your castor) but he’s only paying $90/lb flat rate for all grades. It would be worth sending him #4’s/shells for that price but you’ll do better sending your 1 and 2s to North Bay, even with the weight deduction and commission loss. It was probably about 4 months ago that i called for price. His price may have gone up.

Ah ok! I had some for Gord at the zone 6a meeting this year but he cancelled at the last moment. I'll try my luck again at the auction. I shipped some for the march sale and got 110us for #1 and 100us #2 so I'm not complaining! Anyhow, I'll have to try your pepperette recipe with the beaver, sounds really good!
