Well if you have been following the MSM in the past two weeks you would have heard that the Federal Unionized members are going on strike, so I would not be very surprised if this is simply a slow down action. Nothing to do with conspiracy theories or gun bans or other "the sky is falling stuff" LOL

Renewals have been a disaster going back about two years now. My guess is that this is just the effect of work-from-home. Sorry - I don't have any solution for this.

You could try emailing, too. Especially if they don't allow you to leave a message.
What can I but enumerate old themes,
First that sea-rider Oisin led by the nose
Through three enchanted islands, allegorical dreams,
Vain gaiety, vain battle, vain repose,
Themes of the embittered heart, or so it seems.

The same thing happened to ne when I did the e-mail application last October. By the time I got the new photo, sent it in and it was processed,it was mid February. Besides federal employees still working from home and the new style PAL card rollout, everything was backed up weeks. Now,PSAC is threatening a strike. PAL's,Passports and Visas, boat registration renewals and income tax refunds will grind to a screaming halt. I really doubt this is some Liberal anti-firearm plot because they couldn't organize a one-car funeral let alone pull that off.
How come there's a handicap parking space in front of the liquor store?

Last year I got mine in 5 weeks, but now with this strike on I won't be holding my breath. Even if this only lasts a week it will back log this up for months, Good luck,

I submitted mine online, took about a month and I just got it last week. No complaints on my end, I gave myself 6 months and only needed one.

I finally got through, I guess it's with Ontario CFO, I still have lots of time, not worrying yet, I'm glad I sent it in early!!

On the third day of calling the Ontario CFO to get a ATT and change of address done I made sure I was on the phone first thing in the morning and got to talk to someone within 20 minutes of waiting and she even emailed me the official paperwork before I was off the line with her. As for renewing a PAL ? Doesn't that go through the RCMP (which can't strike) but I guess the civilian staff can ? I sent mine in last year via snail mail and had no issues.
Good Luck & Good Hunting !
