Issue with 270 Rifle firing pin?

I have a inexpensive Bushnell Trophy scope on mine. I think I paid 50 bucks for it 25 years ago and another 10 bucks for a mag since it was missing. These are not really my guns anymore I consider them to be my sons since he will get them when I'm gone. I keep checking if he wants them and he seems to. But I don't know he will only hunt with me and a few of my friends he grew up around. I even had a professional hunt set up for him, goose hunting and he wouldn't go without me and I only have one lay down blind. The hunt was on the farm he works at with some well know pro hunters from the other side of Ottawa.

I got one of them, it might have been my go to gun for deer season if I did not get to keep the semi auto. Got to get it out to the camp and fire off a few rounds.
I had one years ago, never used it and sold it for about $100.00 wondering if I can get a scope for that?
