Would agree that you're being a bit over critical. The hat removal was done to remove the face mask and than put back on. The pack doesn't fully cover the orange so not an issue in my opinion. In any case they were in the process of recovering a dead animal so rules around hunting really doesn't apply. I would say they portrayed an actual reality hunt, and I don't think it was meant as legal advice.
    That’s an interesting view.

LOL the only persons view I,am intersted in is the local CO,s, if he/she decides your back pack is covering your orange past the required amount you win the ticket.

Why not just use a orange backpack. I'm a strong believer in hunters orange even wear it when hunting small game. I want to be seen not shot and I prefer to wake up alive not dead.

I was thinking along similar lines…..it would be interesting to watch someone explain to a CO how hunting rules don’t apply …..in the bush while having just been successful at hunting ?

Glady but first answer me this. Does every person involved in the search and recovery of a DEAD animal need a valid license?

Not if you’re a farmer looking for a lost calf…but in hunting season with your firearm beside you….well……….

Ya every one reads the first part but never refer to the end of the definition where in it describes exceptions. It describes the exception to activities that do not kill, harm , or harass an animal. I believe one can not kill, harm, or harass a dead animal so searching for isn't considered hunting so hunting rules are not in effect.
