Do you remember these ads for fishing?

The Pocket Fisherman? I remember this even early 1980's I think. I never bought, did anyone ever buy one?

I had one but never used it, for me it was more of a back pack survival tool. I also had an extendable fishing rod that worked great the first time I used it, kind of like the ignitor on my BBQ.

Yup still have a brand new one in the box in the basement. I thought they were 14.99 when they first came out? Either way that was a lot of money for a kid in the 70s.

yes i had one and used it, I bought for my boys to use and it was OK in a pich but I never took it out strictly to fish with it
