    Default North shore salmon report

So got out last friday for the first outing of the season. Was in a friends boat as he had the day off. He really got the salmon bug and rigged his boat with all the bells and whistles. Left Ashridges bay at sunrise and put out a 6 rod spread of Lead cores, wire dipsey and down riggers with spoons, paddles and flies and meat rigs. Although the fish hawk confirmed water temps were good not much bait and fewer hooks seen. Trolled till about 1 till we called it quits. 3 small shakers, a steele head and an atlantic was boated.
With a brief window of fishable conditions this morning made another run out of ashbridges today in my boat. Started decent enough with 4 lb king hitting a spoon down 40 but thats all she wrote. Ran back in by 9 as the weather was turning. Still not much on the screen and with only 5 boats out its safe to say its not setup yet.

I was out Saturday morning just west of Shells Pier, got 3 lakers in a 100 FOW 90 down, 2 on spoons and 1 on spin doctor and fly. Marked lots of baitfish in the 30 to 60 FOW area but could not get anything to hit at that range

Don't know if due to the free fishing or the fish are starting to show up but boat numbers are up. Great conditions for a morning fish. First fish was half a shaker but only got bigger from there. went 3 for 4 with the biggest a good 20lber. Nice too look around and see pretty good action around as rods were bouncing every where. Worked mostly from Ashbridges to the plant out past 180. 2 (including the biggin) hit a green/blue spoon down 45 while the other 2 hits came on a bullfrog paddle with Tuyo in a clear herring head down 90ft. Trolling about 2.2 mph on the gps. Called it quits at 10am. Going to try and piece some vid together for those that can't get out.
