    Default Heading to Moose Lake

Heading out for Mackey Ontario tomorrow afternoon and then stay at my buddies place for the night. Than we all head out for Moose Lake near Espanola Wednesday. My best friend Tim, a buddy of ours and my son Logan who just turned 18 on Sunday June 28.

Should arrive Wednesday around 1:30 PM and it will take about 2 hours to cross the lake where we usually camp as I drag my canoe behind the boat so it's slow going.
Another bunch of friends will show up Thursday morning around 10:30 AM, one I went to College with back in 1989 who just moved back from BC. Every few years he would fly out here to go camping with me.

Almost impossible to not catch a small mouth bass on Moose lake. There is also the odd large mouth but very rare and a few Walleye I have caught a couple in the past but very hard. Will fish on Moose and then probably on Friday cross over through a cove and climb a 45 degree slope for a 1/4 km with our canoes to fish a lake called West Quartzite and up there is even better bass fishing.

I put new lines on my son and mine fishing rods as I hadn't changed the lines in several years. Bought some new plastic baits.

Been carefully going over our equipment to make sure I don't forget something like I usually do. One year I forgot the fuel tank for the outboard and that cost me 150 by the time I was done.

I know this is after the fact, but we usually pack; a small chainsaw, splitting axe/maul
A bad day hunting or fishing is better than a good day at work.
