One of my best days deer hunting was after i made numerous turkey calls. Once the deer showed up i switched to buck calls. Had 3 mature bucks hanging around for quite a while and did manage to take a shot at one. They still hung around until after dark

Confidence decoys are an old trick an worth a try. Not sure about Bow Season but if you are dressed in Blaze Orange with a slug gun chances are you are not hunting Turkeys ? I have a treestand on the edge of a cornfield that would be perfect for that set up...... mmmmmmmm ?

It makes perfect sense to use confidence decoys provided that your quarry are familiar with your decoy species. A savy hunter has many tricks up his sleeve!

i think ill be trying it this year, if im hunting a field edge at least or a spot with a decent sized opening i think ill be giving it a shot. ill be sure to let you guys know how it goes!
