    Default Deer in North Bay

Hows the deer hunting around North Bay Ontario? I haven't been up that way in years, a trucker friend of mine said there's all kinds. Is he pulling my leg? Or is there some good deer hunting out that way?

There are lots of deer in the North Bay area.
There was so many a few years ago they had to put 8FT high deer fences on both sides of the highway to keep them from crossing
The fences start about 3 KM's on Hwy 11 before getting to North Bay

I would say in this day it’s correct that deer are not like they were years ago. Prior to 2006 they were a lot better overall. I’d also say that the density of deer are better closer to populated areas so much that I’d equal the quality to southwestern Ontario in some places with farm fields. I’d rate the deer poorer the more remote you get.
