It’s not the rifle, it’s the magazine that is restricted to 5 rounds for auto loading centre fire.

You can have ten round “pistol” mags that fit in semiautomatic rifles, it’s technically legal. Many pistol caliber carbines use ten round mags.

Limit of 5 for the semi auto, as many as it holds for any other action if you are referring to while you are hunting with a centrefire rifle. The semi must be capable of only holding 5 total, not that you only put 5 in a rifle capable of holding more.

I believe the semi can hold SIX rounds total; one in the chamber, and a maximum five-round magazine capacity.
No restriction for other action types.

I almost bought a Benelli MR1 for yote hunting. It can take a 10 rd LAR pistol mag, and would make a fine yote whacker. I think that ship has sailed with C21 if it passes…..

All the more reason to buy an mr1 and a bunch of LAR mags.
