they have updated weather forecast for my area, 24C the highest, but still rain and chance of storms. Geese will come, but I hate laying in a field when it raining, they come in no matter rain or shine not like ducks. So now I'm taking quad up so if we have to get things back to the back fields we can use quads and trailer, we have done this before. And dog will get muddy and hates having a bath to come in the house.

I'll be driving tomorrow for a local scout. Goose season hasn't even crossed my mind yet but since you mentioned it, maybe I can find some nearby.

I myself would sooner see them tack that time on to the end of the season to coincide with the end of duck season. You are out there anyways, there's still lots of them around and the cold temps mean no worries about meat spoiling ? Plus the cornfields are empty and the ground should be hard.
Good Luck & Good Hunting !

I wish they would deem the early, local geese "pests", like the spring snow geese, then the early season could be considered a nuisance season and not considered in the 107 days and the fall goose season could end with the duck season ... I agree, I would rather shoot those last two week geese than the early geese, they are well plumed and fat ... and, lets face it, the late December and January geese are all locals left anyway, so the same nuisance geese are being shot in the late season.

Lol I took the week off to Bear Hunt/work around the house but the heat left me just working around the house anyway!
