Video: The Weird and Wonderful Sounds a Porcupine Makes (Ottawa - September 16)
Hello All,
It's porcupine mating season here in Ontario, and with females only going into heat for a maximum of 12 hours a year, time is of the essence for these prickly critters. Captured this footage a few days ago, showing a male trailing a female and being very vocal about his intentions. Who knew.
Cheers,
Justin

Wow, females go into heat for a maximum of 12 hours a year, that has to be the shortest there is.
Gun control:Criminals who ignore laws against rape, torture, kidnapping, theft, and murder, will obey a law that prohibits them from owning a firearm while disarming decent people from having access to firearms to deter criminals.

The mating ritual is pretty wild to watch and hear. Just don’t stand under the tree as you will get soaked in porky urine. I know this for a fact. The male climbs higher than the female in the tree and pisses down on her to show off his sexy time phermones, meanwhile she hums along chattering and tapping her teeth. You can easily hear it from 200yds away. Pretty cool animal. They only have s single baby.

My buddy had a girlfriend back in grade 11 and he told us he figured she must be part porcupine because she was always asking him to pee on her when they were together in the shower……

Plenty of fishers in this spot but lots of porkys. Could they possibly have moved on to a better food source area?
