I let go off my stand once when I forgot my bottle and had a spike buck sniffing the bush almost before I got zipped up and sat down. Two days latter arrowed an eight point buck from the same stand so never worried much about it again.
I'd rather be fishing! Unless you want to go hunting!

Has too much time on their hands
I used to watch Fred as the host of "The Practical Sportsman" on Detroit public TV, though he was based out of Bath, Michigan.
It seems to me he actually backed off on the show when he went to law school as a mature student, and hadn't enough time for the show.

I think there's a ton of chance in many guys opinions of it hurting or not.
deer can do a ton of off character stuff when they don't feel threatened. I honestly don't know if it helps or hurts, I do know I side on the chance that it might be a negative to some deer so I play it safe and use a bottle
