Default Hunting 21a for first time

H...my friend and I are moose hunting 21a for the first time. Was curious if anyone has any info on best hunting style for the area. Have never been there so not sure about terrain. Is it dense treed area or is there an opportunity to glass wider areas. Anyway not looking for any secrets or honey holes...just curious about what style of hunting is best for the area.

    21a a is about 100 x 150 km.Terrain,vegetation ,access ,clearcutting varies hugely.
Not being negative, but You should be more specific where You are going(to a degree) for the hope of someone knows that area good. And willing to share.

Overall-have a canoe, good boot,a good binocular-and be ready whatever the terrain throws at you.
It happened to me-likely to many ,that picking a spot from the map and hunting another is common occurence.

But hey-for the next time-you will know the area of your interest much better.

It’s a big unit in northern Ontario… you can find areas to suit any hunting style. I live nearby but haven’t been through the unit in several years so I can’t comment on specifics.

Often, your first year in a new spot can be a write off if you have to find a spot to set up and learn the lay of the land. Not to mention dodging other groups of hunters. Be patient and keep your expectations low. Good luck and have fun.

Thanks guys...appreciate the feedback. Yup our assumption is a lot of exploring looking and learning and very low expectations...coming back with anything would be a huge surprise and bonus.
