I setup just north east of where I bumped him last night. At around 7:10am I was busted by a different buck that seemed to come out of nowhere. I waited 10 minutes and headed to a spot where I've taken all my deer in previous years.

As im getting close to my spot, I see last night's buck southwest of me, heading west, nose down. I drop to my knee behind a tree and watched as he started walk north, upwind of me. I kept shifting to keep in front of me, keeping the tree between us.

Then all of a sudden he takes a head turn east towards me. There's lots of thick bush on my property so it wasn't until he was 15 yards that I had a shot and took it. He was quartering towards me, something I'm definitely not used to, but the shot was good.

I waited the 20 minutes, rushed to the house to get my dog, Trapper, and he found the buck in less than 1 minute. He's not the biggest buck on the block but he'll do nicely!
