Ask an expert: what are your favourite bass baits?
https://oodmag.com/ask-an-expert-wha...te-bass-baits/
Whether I’m fishing on Lake of the Woods or out on the Bassmaster Elite Series, these five baits are tied on a rod in my boat at all times.
What can I but enumerate old themes,
First that sea-rider Oisin led by the nose
Through three enchanted islands, allegorical dreams,
Vain gaiety, vain battle, vain repose,
Themes of the embittered heart, or so it seems.
-- "The Circus Animals’ Desertion" by William Butler Yeats

My "go to's" are Wacky Worms rigged weedless,Hula Poppers and Jitterbugs.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

Have to second the Hula Popper and Jitterbug. They add the fun and excitement factors to the game. Honourable mention to the Tiny Torpedo

Calm water dawn and dusk, a jitterbug.
Aside from that, spinner baits.
I'm not beyond jigs and worms at the edge of deep water.
