Default Need advice on choosing the best fishing gear for ontario wters

    Hello community member,

I have been using some basic gear for a while now, but I am ready to invest in something more specialized. What are some good rod and reel
combinations that work well for both casting and trolling in Ontario waters? I am looking for something durable and versatile.
What are your go to lures or baits for catching bass, pike, and trout in Ontario?
Are there any specific brands or types that have consistently worked for you?
Any recent updates on fishing regulations in Ontario that I should be aware of? Are there any changes that might affect where or when I can fish?

I appreciate any advice or insights you can provide. Please share your experiences and any tips that could help me make the most of my fishing trips this season.

    Thank you for help.

    What' your budget?

Big difference in my answer if you have $100 vs say $2,000.
The wilderness is not a stadium where I satisfy my ambition to achieve, it is the cathedral where I worship.
