Default Additional deer tag availability- 82A

After 20 years of availability, this year ,the tag has been discontinued.
It was a good run,but a steady and gradual decline.
    From 2 any sex-any firearms to...only 1...to only doe...to only doe with bow...to NONE.

The tag gave me a lot of actions, outings and fun. While i "used "it only few times in 20 years..i will miss it immensely.

I guess, all good thing comes to an end.

Appears that all extra deer migrated to 85

A bummer, that there is very few public lands available in those WMUs

I guess it was just a matter of time
I spent a rutcation in 82a at some point and it was an eye opening experience when at 3 pm you would see blaze orange in EVERY TRUCK passing by

Got mine for 85. I live in 84, with a 10min drive to 82A or 85 and hunt all 3. Guess I'll have to be more picky than normal if I'm using my rifle tag on a deer in October. Generally am now anyway. Maybe take one with the bow about every 3-4 years on average. Most just like to sit out and watch them in October when the weather is nicer.

Got, my additional 92 tag today. 92 has been good for my deer meat supply over the years...

None in 87, but yes in 79, a reversal of the situation 10-15 years ago.

Filled an additional in 82a every year they offered them and in some years 2 except once when i broke my leg a few years back on the bow opener. Oh well c'est la vie! Give me more time to do work around the camp and grouse hunt.

IMO, this should have been done 10 years ago. Too little too late now - it will take a decade for the deer numbers to recover, if ever.

Apart from the honey holes many of you are lucky enough to have, there is no doubt the overall deer numbers in 82A have taken a huge spike downwards over the last 10 years.

I'm old enough to have seen when there were deer everywhere in 82A versus now. Sad in my view. Trying to figure out what the heck happened.

Looks like the discontinued additional tags in 82A and 84 has carried over to the primary tags as well. I'm 53 and this is the first time I can recall not getting a doe tag in 84 when I applied. I know it happened around 8 years ago too as a buddy didn't get one that year. It dropped to 97% success rate or something like that. Funny thing is I do the applying for 4 or 5 guys every year so I looked up 5 of the other guys in the group and they were all successful.
