Default How are acorns in your neck of the woods

Just came back from scouting, it feels like freshly dropped red oak acorns everywhere

How is it in your area?

Up in the Sudbury area there are lots of red oak acorns in the trees.

Mixed. My place up in Nipissing is loaded. My trees NE of Orangeville are empty.

In my area both reds and whites are producing this year, along with most other nut bearing trees. Some trees don't produce every year, even if the conditions are right.

I'll have to take a harder look at my place. It seemed to me it was going to be a poor year - but I wasn't really looking for acorns yet - just walked a couple of trails.

Red Oaks are dropping lots of acorns around Wasaga Beach. Still have to check County forests in the area.
