FEMA does a lot and is supported by a large volunteer base, however, as a former member of FEMA myself I can attest to the waste. This started after 9/11 when the government expanded the disaster response to include civilian groups as a cost savings measure, it worked at the local level, but the when the responsibility expanded budgets were spent otherwise they went away. The people who are complaining were never the ones to volunteer, and the media are the worst of this bunch. FEMA supported Michigan One who were the first in after the Florida hurricanes, they were the ones driving the big white vans towards people who needed help when all the other people were driving away. The media were there too, with their cameras, filming but not helping.

I’m concerned how Ukraine will fare out of these discussions. Hopefully they get a better shake than the folks in Gaza are getting. I don’t support Hamas but not every Palestinian is a terrorist.

Ukraine has already lost the lands gained will belong to Russia they have already been rebuiling since the start. . With 2/3s of the Ukrainian army eliminated Russia has fulfilled its objective to dismantle its military. The land the Russians hold I hear hold almost 60 % of it minerals and after the next town will be closer to 75%. There will be no Ukraine in nato. Kinda sounds like what they tried to achieve without the war. Too bad they were pushed into a burning fire for no reason.

As for gaza if they go ahead with the plan it's the beginning of the war they wanted with Iran. Nobody in the region wants to take them as they know it would ruin their economy's by taking in the large sums of people. If they thought the resistance groups was hampering their efforts during the war just wait and see what happens if they try to move the people by force. That alone they will blame Iran like they always did and another conflict will begin. Trump mucked up by saying what he did and has plans for . Yet I said last year what their plan was the entire time. They already made up the plans they were leaked last year why do you think Israel leveled the place. What's left to go back too?

Why Europe would be sold out...?them "big shot wannabe" European Politicians sat at the big pot called war in Ukraine to help "cook up the storm", which cost 100 and 100 of thousand lives on both sides( completely unneeded losses) )..........now will be perhaps the time for those European politicians to eat what they cook?

At this point,it's hard to imagine how a peace treaty will unfold in Ukraine. No doubt,as in every "deal",no single entity will get everything they want. Ukraine will likely be required to cede some territory to Russia in return for some form of reparations. This will be a very sore spot for Ukraine and Russia for many decades to come. As for the Palestinians,for me,it's difficult to sympathize with people who brought their misfortune on themselves. Granted,not every Palestinian is a member of Hamas,but,every Palestinian,by enabling and supporting them,is complicit. There's a reason no other nation in the middle east wants anything to do with them. That speaks volumes.

It's to bad they thought they could rely on the usa in the first place. They don't have the greatest track record and have done the same thing on multiple occasions push others into wars and fail. The usa had to eliminate the taliban yet they took over. Same with Afghanistan now hamas and russia same lines with the same outcome every time. . Well they cooked their economy as they continue to de industrialize their economy. Take away what was affordable and you'll pay the price. I bet you China works its way in they are already planning for Chinese plants. They will realize soon enough what side they need the most.

Edit I stand correct they are actively encouraging Chinese manufacturers. Another win win for China byd was up 26% for the weeks
